Little Red and Wolf

Red was coloured in Copic Ciao markers as well as Faber-Castell 48 Classic Colour for some final touches.
The Background was done with cheap permanent black marker and black Crayola crayon.

I've been watching Once Upon A Time lately and I am falling in love with their takes on the fairy tale characters so I thought I'd pay a little tribute to Little Red Riding Hood which I've always pictured to be a dark story told in an innocent way. I strayed away from my regular elongated fashion figure and kept her proportions normal suggesting a little girl but also a young adult. The length of the cloak represents her innocence, the way a little girl would usually wear oversized clothing. There is a shadow created by the hood darkening her face which tells us a secret. Of course I had to incorporate the apple and the dagger she carries in her basket. This is part of the dark secret she is keeping. I've tried to capture the innocence that she displays as well as encourage the viewers to think otherwise.
